Catherin Coulter is one of my fave romance authors of all time. There's just something about her writing style that appeals to me. Its not even complicated writing. In fact its very simple. And her plots. One of a kind. I LOVE her FBI series. Sometimes when an author tries to make that transition of all romance to mystery, she falls short. But not Catherine. Her stories are thrilling and exciting. With her, its about QUALITY.

Nora Roberts. I used to be really into her as a teen. But as I grew up so did my taste. I reread some of her stories that I used to like. All her earlier heroins were "Frail, pale, and slight." Not kidding... those three words are back to back in one of her books. Oh yeah, not to mention that "Cute, stubborn ways" of them. Her characters are usually 2D and mostly the same. Strong men that need to take that woman in hand and show her how to be a woman as she continually swoons in his embrace. ARGH! Annoying! And whats even more annoying is that the women are all virgins. Extrordinarily beautiful, pale, ADULT, women that just happen to be virgins. Not that its unheard of, just not very likely anymore. You can't relate to these fragile characters. With her, she's about the QUANTITY not quality. NOt to sound to bad, I enjoy her newer novels. Her writing as definately matured some. Her novels under JD ROBB aren't too bad.
